Program Course Information
The capstone courses (AGEC 629, 630) are taught during the Fall semester and taken during the second
year of the student’s program. Prerequisites for these courses are AGEC 619, AGEC 621, AGEC
625, ACCT 640 (or approved equivalent), and FINC 635 (or approved equivalent). Students must have
taken or be concurrently enrolled in the foundation courses. Course sequence is based on entry in the
Fall semester.
One available elective is the AGEC 684 Internship, which should be taken during the summer term in
the middle of the program rather than at the end. A Procedural Manual for the Master of
Agribusiness Internship Program is available at https://agecograds.tamu.edu/wpcontent/

Any course taken as AGEC 685 Directed Studies will require the completion of a commitme nt

Another possible elective, AGEC 693 Professional Study, focuses on the development of an
independent research project and involves either the development of actual case studies or the writing

complete the Professional Study Proposal Form.
The MAB Director may substitute related courses for required courses if, in his/her judgment and in
consultation with the student, these courses would better suit the student’s objectives.
