Texas Beef Council, the marketing arm of the beef industry in Texas, is seeking a Beef Promotions Intern to work full time for one semester. The primary function of the intern will be to assist the TBC Event & Logistics Manager in: ● Preparing and setting up for events ● Purchasing supplies and perishables when needed ● Addressing questions and concerns from consumers and cattle producers ● Special projects as needed ● Opportunity to gain experience in a program area of interest Internship compensation includes $12 an hour plus travel expenses and a $600 per month housing allowance. Candidate must also possess a valid driver’s license and be acceptable under the company’s insurance policy in order to drive company vehicles. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills: ● Excellent communication skills ● An interest in the agriculture industry ● Ability to multitask effectively ● Willingness to travel throughout Texas ● Ability to work with minimal supervision ● Ability to assess situations and problem solve as needed Physical requirements include ability to: ● Stand for long periods of time ● Lift up to 40 pounds ● Speak for long periods of time ● Travel independently
