Qualifications
The Department of Agricultural, Environmental, and Development Economics (AEDE) invites applications for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor in Farm Management and Agricultural Policy. The incumbent will develop and implement a comprehensive and innovative extension, teaching and research program that addresses critical farm management and agricultural policy issues. The appointee will have a 9-month academic year appointment with additional funding available for non-academic months. The appointee is expected to develop a comprehensive extension/outreach program in their area of expertise and to serve as a state-level expert (approximately 50%); develop a high quality applied research program complementary to their extension program (approximately 25%); and will have the opportunity to teach a class in AEDE’s undergraduate and/or graduate programs and/or develop modern curricula for use in extension programming (approximately 25%). Applicants must possess a PhD in economics, applied economics, agribusiness, or related field, or expect to complete all degree requirements before August 1, 2021. Screening of applications begins December 1, 2020 and will continue until the position is filled.
