About SAAER
The Symposium for Agricultural and Applied Economics Research (SAAER) is an annual, student run, research event. The goal of the Symposium is to showcase the research our students and professors have accomplished throughout the year. It’s an event that motivates collaboration among students and professors and communicates the vast research topics of the department. The research is presented through poster and oral presentations from close to twenty students and several professors. A keynote address is given from an invited speaker and the day is concluded with an industry panel and a reception. Awards for Outstanding Paper and Outstanding Poster will be presented by two committees of professors who will judge the papers of the oral presenters and the posters presented.
This symposium is made possible with support from the Department of Agricultural Economics and the Graduate Student Association.
